Thank you for compiling this list. I look forward to requesting them from my library. I am currently in a discussion regarding the number of children’s books pushing sex/gender in all its diversity & the number of books regarding the damaging harm this has brought. I will be curious to see how many from your list will be accepted for purchase.

Ask friends to also request the books at your library and at school. Talk to the purchaser librarian. The libraries need to hear from parents. My local library declined to buy Dr. Miriam Grossman's book," Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist's Guide Out of the Madness" until a friend talked to the librarians about their censorship of the truth; they were promoting transitioning without really knowing anything about the implications and great damage of the puberty blockers, hormones and mutilating surgeries.

Love this! Any recommendations for a book to give to my young adult who thinks she is non binary that is not as obvious as Jo. Her birthday is coming up.

These are all the books I know. Think about what is impacting your young adult and pick a book that addresses that issue. Gender is not about gender. It's about something else, such as trauma, divorce, grief, fitting in, fear of the future, etc.

This reminds me of living in California and knowing I was sending my child into a world of strangers when she started after school daycare. I detested the fact that I had to teach her correct body part names at 5 and discuss that no one has the right to touch her body etc. I felt like I was forcing her to grow up beyond what a child should be concerned with... Robbing her of innocence. But I had no other way to help keep her safe. That was 35 years ago. I cannot imagine the pressure as a parent these days.
